Pakistani farmers can now apply for the Kisan Card as of June 1, 2024. The goal of this programme, which is being directed by Punjab's agricultural authorities, is to give small-scale farmers resources and financial help.

Farmers must SMS a specified number with the details from their computerised national identity card (CNIC) in order to register for the Kisan Card. Interest-free loans up to Rs 150,000 are available to qualified farmers, especially those with 1 to 12.5 acres of land. June 2024, Punjab - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has introduced the Nawaz Sharif Kisan Card, a comprehensive programme meant to empower and assist farmers throughout the province, in a major step to promote the agricultural industry. 1.Financial Support: 


Eligible farmers can apply for interest-free loans up to Rs. 150,000 through the Kisan Card. Small-scale farmers with 1–12.5 acres of land are the objective of this programme. To guarantee farmers have the resources required for maximum crop output, the loan can be used to buy vital agricultural inputs including fertilisers, seeds, and pesticides (The Nation) (The Free Library).

2.Subsidy Programme: 


The government has added an additional subsidy of Rs 30,000 per acre in addition to the loan facility. The Punjab government is creating Centres of Excellence for important crops including cotton, wheat, and rice as part of the plan.
